Sequel

Lange Zeit war Ruhe, aber so langsam trudeln die Updates ein ;)

Neuere Infos gibt es immer erst im Forum bzw. im Newsbereich.

Update 31.08.2008:

Die letzten Wochen wurden die einzelnen Darsteller gecasted und das ist jetzt abgeschlossen. Diesen Samstag steigt er ins Flugzeug und dann wird die Pre-Production beginnnen. Also Kostüm- und Make-Up-Tests etc. Im Oktober beginnen dann die eigentlichen Dreharbeiten :)

8.09.2008 -> Flug nach Toronto mit dem Beginn der Pre-Production (Dauer ca. 7 Wochen)

20.10.2008 -> Drehbeginn (Dauer ca. 7 Wochen) in Boston

Troy Duffy hat sich gestern mit einem der Darsteller (Clifton Collins Jr.) aus BDS2 - All Saints Day getroffen und das Drehbuch besprochen:

Update 16.06.2008:

Alright we just got and update from Troy. He’s leaving this weekend to go location scouting in Boston & Canada, Woohoo!! One of the first steps, of many, in the process of getting the sequel made. Also for those who don’t know Billy Connolly, “Il Duce”, will be returning in the sequel.

Update 16.05.2008:

It seems to be our most popular question, when is our sequel coming? Well we are about to share some of the details of the sequel and hopefully clear things up.

The Sequel will be entitled “All Saints Day”. The start date is August 25, 2008 that will be our first day of shooting. We are currently in the casting process for all new roles that will be in the sequel. Both Brothers are coming back too! I know that has been on some peoples’ minds. Once filming begins, we will have streaming video from the set weekly. Writer/Director Troy Duffy is due to start pre-production at the end of June.

“IF” there is going to be an “open casting call” we will let you know on our Websites, MySpace, Newsletter, etc. If you’re not already signed up for our newsletter go to Boondockfans Website to sign up.

There is not an official release date set, but we are hoping for spring 2009. When that becomes available we will update everyone.

All of us at Boondock would to thank the fans for their loyal support over theses years and keeping the faith! If it wasn’t for you, “the fans”, this would not have been possible!

I hope this message finds everyone well this St. Patrick’s Day. We have a very special announcement today.

Over the last bunch of years, everytime I talked to the fans and they really only want to know the answer to one question: Where’s our damned sequel? There’s even been the frustrated kind of fan who has been hearing this for years and there’s always rumors about the sequel that never gets done and so that they kind of abandoned the hopes for it.

Well and I finally have the answer to that question, the guys. We’ve just completed our deal with Sony Pictures Studios to do the sequel to “Boondock 2: All Saints’ Day “and which should be shooting this summer.

Feels very good to be able to say that to you guys. I called Sean, Norm and Billy right away. They’re all extremely excited. I’m beginning my own prep ON the film and getting into the casting process. There’s a bunch of funky new roles that you’re gonna see, and I think you’re gonna really like. And, man, you know and it just feels good to be able to say that finally after all this time. We are doing this thing.

So, I guess, you know, in closing and happy St. Patrick’s Day. Boondock’s getting done. So raise a glass to us tonight. And have a safe and drunk celebration. Good day!

Auf der Myspace-Seite von Troy Duffy bzw. The Boondock Saints ist ein Video veröffentlich worden in dem er bekannt gibt, das Sony die Rechte an dem Sequel erworben hat und die Finanzierung somit gesichert ist. Wenn es weiter so läuft soll im Sommer mit der Produktion begonnen werden :)
